Despite the hordes of clubbers that might make you feel in Ibiza those days, there’s not much left of the sunny days. Not sure why but summer gets shorter & shorter since a couple of years already.

I hate those days when we can’t see the sky, not even the top of the TV tower. On the other hand that’s a good reason to stay home and digg through the records crates or to go out late, party hard and stay the whole day in bed.

Dubstep started to embrace Berlin about a year ago I would say. Since then I’ve been collecting a few records here and there. I know have enough to start having fun when playing a dubstep set. Lovers of the more break-beat side might consider this mix a little bit mellow, but that’s how I like it: deep & smooth. Enjoy it! Read more

Long time no post .. ’cause I’ve been busy here and there .. & ’cause Jelka do it right;) Also, lately I’ve done some more work in our studio (mixer, cables, compressor, tape recorder, .. and sorting out records again) to improve again the quality of our broadcasts, podcasts & recordings. I’ll soon write a review about the amazing ARS 4100 mixer we just installed.

That being said, I also turned 30 last friday & recorded a new podcast for that particular time. Thanks to everyone that dropped me a note on Facebook on that day, or sms, or calls & to those who made it to Berlin to celebrate. 30 is also available in iTunes podcasts (search VKMP3) & on soundcloud. Illusions

An illusion is a distortion of the senses, revealing how the brain normally organizes and interprets sensory stimulation. While illusions distort reality, they are generally shared by most people. Illusions may occur with more of the human senses than vision, but visual illusions, optical illusions, are the most well known and understood. The emphasis on visual illusions occurs because vision often dominates the other senses.

Some illusions are based on general assumptions the brain makes during perception. These assumptions are made using organizational principles, like Gestalt, an individual’s ability of depth perception and motion perception, and perceptual constancy. Other illusions occur because of biological sensory structures within the human body or conditions outside of the body within one’s physical environment.

The term illusion refers to a specific form of sensory distortion. Unlike a hallucination, which is a distortion in the absence of a stimulus, an illusion describes a misinterpretation of a true sensation. listen & Enjoy!
