Almost everyone in the world knows someone who has flown to the German capital in recent years and proudly returned with bizarre stories of previously unimagined highs at endless techno parties at Berghain, Watergate or Tresor. All these stories contain a grain of truth. But many questions remain unanswered: why is it that thousands of clubbing tourists land at Berlin Schönefeld airport every weekend? Why have clubs like Berghain become the stuff of legend the world over? Why have some of the best-known producers and techno djs moved with their labels to this city? These are the kind of questions explored in lost and sound by Tobias Rapp, a German music journalist who has been living, working and partying in Berlin since the beginning of the nineties. He has spoken with djs, clubbers, label bosses, hostel managers and urban planners; he has looked and listened carefully; and most important of all, he has been part of the dance floor himself. ‘One of the rare record companies that never follows trends, but only it’s true dedication to beautiful music. Delsin is timeless.’
Laurent Garnier
May 2009 will see the release of the long awaited Delsin 2.0 Compilation. Label boss, Peel Seamus, has selected the label’s highlights from the last three years and put them into this journey through the best of deep techno (lasting over 2 hours). For over 10 years Delsin has been fulfilling its mission to release music that stands out above the rest. The Delsin roster contains only authentic artists, each their own profiled character and sound.
Two Remix EPs are out to accompany the compilation featuring remixes by Redshape, Quince, Shed and Steve Rachmad. Very limited vinyl editions of both are available through the just opened Delsin Webshop!
To celebrate these releases (and above all, the existence of good music!) the true ambassadors of this soulful electronic music will take to the road and rock the world in various line ups! The first Delsin 2.0 parties will be Saturday May 16th Trouw Amsterdam, and Friday May 22nd Panoramabar Berlin. Read more

Back in the days we lived in NYC I used to go out on sunday afternoons, best parties were Body&Soul downtown in Vinyl. I remember the special atmosphere out there since then and I kind of missed it over the years: getting up fit on sunday, have sweat petit déjeuner, a walk outside and then dance! beautiful day, dance like a machine! Not that I haven’t look for it here and there, but so far I never really found it & it’s never really been the same.
Since we arrived in Berlin we’ve been going out much, especially in the beginning. Night life is amazing here. Places are nice, music is good, sound systems loud! .. this of course drives a lot of party freaks to the city each week & the cool places are full:( hopefully some venues likes berghain always creates new parties besides the main nights: on wednesdays and fridays in kantine, on sunday afternoon in panorama bar. It isn’t body&soul, definataly, but there a similar feeling .. a bit more acid this time as we are in Berlin.
