HHV

What began in 2002 in a small record shop in Berlin’s Friedrichshain (or even earlier in a small private apartment) grew until today to one of the leading European Web Stores for music and related genres. And of course hhv.de is specialized in the sale of vinyl records with a range of almost 70,000 different vinyl records in stock that can be send out worldwide. The musical spectrum of their offer now includes all the relevant genres of popular music, without having lost their musical roots in Hip Hop from the eyes. I personally enjoy their dubstep selections a lot.

In addition to the sale of recorded music and DJ accessories and equipment, culturally relevant print media, books and DVDs etc., they established themselves in trade in textiles and shoes of various streetwear brands and trade in merchandise. You can also pick your own Vinyl Kills MP3 T-shirt there ;)

Besides all that hhv.de runs its own little record label including the sub labels Project Mooncircle and Project Squared. hhv still has a small street store in Berlin-Friedrichshain on Revaler Street N° 9 called HHV.DE Selected Store where they offer a fine selection of hhv.de’s wide range of good products. When you’re berlin based you can also digg your favorite vinyls online and get them delivered to the store the next day with no shipping costs. That’s also a cool thing! Read more

Audio-In

Back in the early days when I arrived in Berlin, on sundays I used to go to Boxhagener platz‘ flea market and enjoy the atmosphere. This is where I met Martin – Audio-In’s happy owner – for the first time. It was amazing how many collectors I found that day but unfortunately I was a bit on budget at that time :(

Anyway, I somehow made it to Berlin, get to know Martin better, and we became good friends.

So I had the chance to pass by the shop often & this is now one of my favorite place to get second records in Berlin. The shop is clean and well organized, assortment is reasonable and the selections are good. From minimal to deep techno, from detroit to chicago classics: many good records. There’s also a small hip hop and disco section as well as a growing electro disco collection. Read more
