And Lee Perry once again…

Here is a little documentary about Lee Perry and his influence on contemporary dubstep. It has been put together by Dubblestandart from Vienna and Subatomic Sound from NYC on the occasion of their reworking of Perry’s Blackboard Jungle album. This rework shows the past & future of dub, from the seminal Blackboard Jungle album produced by Lee Scratch Perry along with King Tubby in 1973, Jamaica, to Scratch’s recent Blackboard Jungle versions and dubstep remixes with Dubblestandart, Subatomic Sound System, and Jahdan Blakkamoore, representing the sounds of dub today.

The video also includes nice footage of a concert in Central Park, bringing together Perry, Dubblestandart, Subatomic Sound and the adorable vocalist Jahdan Blakkamoore.
