Underground Quality Labelnight at Tape Berlin

Deep House label Underground Quality will celebrate it’s labelnight at Tape Club Berlin this Friday, September 18th.

DJ Jus Ed launched Underground Quality back in 2004, being tired of the soulful house scene: “But rather than just complain about it, we did something about it,” says Ed. “I decided to make music that was danceable and emotional, and hopefully create some new life in the community.” Which he did, making Underground Quality quickly to one of the key labels in the US underground house scene.

Although the label is into digital distribution and runs an online store, they are still sticking to a good part of Vinyl only releases: “Vinyl is about ownership of music and when you buy a record you own it,” DJ Jus Ed says. “That’s more exciting than downloading a file. Vinyl stands for credibility, high quality, and ownership.”

Beside DJ Jus Ed there will be Levon Vincent, Anton Zap, Black Consortium aka Fred. P., DJ Qu and Nina Kraviz on the wheels of steel, all from the roster of Underground Quality. For warming up they released a Club Tape Club Mix which offers you more than the average promomix: on this limited release you will get a mix from each of the 6 DJs that will spin in Berlin including many yet unreleased tracks. Not bad, huh? Get it here.

At Tape Club expect a night packed with deep soulful bassy house – and believe Jus Ed when he says: “I’m only concerned about the party and the people. Are their clothes wet? Good, then I’ve done my job right.”
