If spiritual techno has a mother, then few would argue she’s known as Red Planet. Lush synths and warm emotional chords, mixed with crisp percussive beats, all go together to create the labels unique sound. On listening to this compilation of 12” releases, the philosophy behind the label begins to make sense, there’s more here than just beautiful music, it’s got ideas, feelings and messages . . . There’s been a lot happening lately and I did not find much time to write here, many new records, many endless nights on discogs, some new tools to set up in the studio, some endless discussions in wave music community & yes I have to confess I took a few days off and rather enjoy the sunny days in Berlin than locking myself in the studio to work & write.
That being said, I’ll spend most of the day sorting out out the latest news I got from hardwax & audio-in, and finish testing the new bozak iso-x so I could write a proper review here. Read more
