We come in peace

Here we go! Our site is eventually live.

It took us a while to get our ideas sorted and to decide how we wanted to do it. We were looking for something simple & ergonomic to put information online & to keep track of all links and resources we can find and share on the web. Many of us spend ours on the net looking for news about our passion: music and its best vector for us: the vinyl.  There’s been so much fantasies and myths around this shit, so many endless nights talking about that shit. Great fun and great memories, great ideas too. This is what we want to share here!

Vinyl Kills Mp3 is a vision, a message, a statement & a community. We’re djs, fans, musicians, collectors & audiophiles.

Over the last few years we’ve seen the decline of the “old school” music industry & the emergence of new methods of spreading music. Good or bad, who knows yet? One fact is that this has impacted the vinyl industry: shops, studios and factories have been closing around us. Some might say this is normal market evolution, we say it’s sad. Nevertheless we keep enjoying music as we always have.

When he saw our logo, our header and our claim vinyl kills mp3 a friend wrote me “sooo true & there are numbers to it: in germany 110.000 brand new recordplayers were sold last year which is an increase by 30% …. cool there’s hope then ;)

Our goal here is to offer a medium to keep people aware of what’s going on in this industry and in our passion. We want to share our knowledge and to provide news about artists, records, products, the future & the evolution of the industry.

We love vinyl; we love its sound, we love its shape & we love the feel of it in our hands… any questions?

Great thanks to Theo & Julien @ colorz for their understanding of our needs, their time and their passion to make this site looks how it looks today. we like it and we hope you’ll enjoy it too.
